During this difficult time we are living, strengthening yourself in the Lord is the best thing you can do. As it says in Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Being in lock down for so many days is not easy, however as all things work for good for those who love the Lord, this time has been one of the mayor times of search in the Presence of the Lord. It has been a time to see the manifestation of God’s love, power and care for his children.
As I studied these days about how God strengthens us in the midst of that search in His presence, I created a little Bible study on this topic. And today I want to share it with you. It is a short Bible study of 6 Bible verses and includes a printable that you can use for your bible journaling time.
You have the freedom to study these biblical verses and to deepen the study of the word in your time and in the comfort of your home.
If you are looking for more bible studies I have available a few more that you can enjoy for free! Here is a list:
We already know what we are all experiencing. It is not an easy situation for each of us. However, I have always thought that at difficult times we should get the best out of it. Today, after a long time not blogging, I want to share a little about my quarantine season and how I have been able to have a time of greater intimacy with God.
I am in quarantine with a 2 year old. What many call the terrible two’s. It has been challenging. But at the same time I have been able to fully enjoy my motherhood in every way. Yes, I have felt tired and exhausted but with a great sense of fulfillment.
I have had time to work from home, to dedicate my attention to my baby, time to play in the pool, time to read and above all to be alone with God. And this last part is the most difficult that has been made possible for me.
However, I have had to sacrifice myself and allow myself to have short times of prayer and study of the Word of God, instead of long periods as I could do before I became a mother. My schedules have completely changed, my routine is not the same, now it is the routine and the structure of the baby. But God has given me strength and strategies to do it. I have had to make many adjustments to be able to recharge my physical, emotional and spiritual energies.
How could I do it? Here are some tips that have worked for me in times of quarantine.
If you don’t have time to pray for a long period, at least pray 15 minutes. The Word of God tells us that the Prophet Daniel prayed three times a day. In other words, you can determine to pray 3 times a day in short periods. The important thing is that you do it.
Before I was a mom I studied the Word every morning. Now I take a little bible study after my baby goes to sleep. Find the perfect time for you.
In this time I have practiced bible journaling a lot. This has helped me re-create myself a little, free my mind from other things. Being creative and at the same time being able to fill myself with His Word has been refreshing for me.
Nobody said it was easy! But it’s not impossible! Believe that God is always there to listen to you and talk to you, you just have to take the time to do it, even a little! I hope these tips can motivate you to keep going, as a mom and as a woman who needs God to keep going.
In times of Quarantine, having intimacy with God is first!
Bible Journaling is one of the things that helps me during my bible study time. I love art and everything related to crafts. I started bible journaling just writing in the margins. Then I discovered there is much more we can do. Today, (after a much needed break from blogging) I want to share with some bible journaling printables I have created that can help you in your study time.
I love to work with printables in my bible. I started creating them for a need I had of my own. But, then I started adding them to my Etsy Shop for others to use them too. Here are the newests printables available:
I loveeee that verse of the bible where God speaks to us about how loving, protective and victorious He is over us! This printable will be available in English too soon!
This printable is one of my favorites! I called it “I am my Beloved’s” it’s beautiful and the colors are great! There are plenty of flowers for you to use them as you wish in your bible.
I love the Psalm that says “everything that has breath PRAISE THE LORD”! We are created and called to worship and praise God in so many ways. He is mighty, powerful and His greatness surpasses everything! You will love this printable!
Having a reading time with our children before bed can be a challenge. Today we live surrounded by many distractions that do not edify. Having a time to share with family, or between parents and children before going to bed is healthy. Having a devotional time or reading the word of God is even more so.
Today I want to share with you this wonderful book that came to my hands “Night Night Devotions” by Amy Parker. Since I was a mother, I was passionate about reading and now I want to instill that practice in my son. He is still very small, but starting now to read him devotionals before bed is excellent for him.
This beautiful book (because it really has beautiful illustrations) contains 90 devotionals inspired by the Word of God. It brings to light key biblical passages in a beautiful and very structured way. Excellent for children between the ages of 3 to 7 years.
Not only does it give you the opportunity to read them, but you can also encourage and practice a prayer time with them. This book includes devotions of both the old testament and the new testament, it really is very complete!
90 Devotions for Kids you will love! Family time is important for them! #NightNightDevotions
I encourage you to take some time to read with your children and foster in them the love for God and for his word. It would be the best gift we can give our children. Bible Journaling is one of my favorites things to do. I can have a bible study, a devotional and a creative time all in one! – Recently I’ve been practicing with incorporating Index Cards to my Bible Journaling creative process. Today, I want to show you how to make your own index cards for Bible Journaling.
I’ve seen a lot of Memory Dex cards around the web and I loved the idea of making my own (because I don’t have those lovely cards). I wanted to use the supplies that I already have without spending to much. Here’s how I did it!
