We will work each character trait with fascinating examples and faith object lessons you will love. Each trait will be represented with kids and family activities (this is for the whole family!), children’s books, family movies and more!

How here at His Purpose In Me you will learn about BE FAITHFUL! Enjoy this great character trait where God calls us to be faithful and He is with each one of us! Read below for a lesson and plenty of activities to practice what you have learned about this trait!

Be Faithful Lesson:

Maybe you know or have heard about Ruth’s Story in the Bible. It really is a complete book of Ruth. It is an interesting, fascinating book and above all it teaches us to be faithful. After Noemi and her family moved to Moab, sad events occurred for Noemi. He lost his entire family. However, God had a plan of redemption for Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth. Noemi’s son married Ruth, a Moabite girl who had other beliefs and customs. However, Ruth came to know through her relationship with Noemi the GOD that Noemi served.

When they were alone they only had each other and Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem, so Ruth decided not to leave Naomi and accompany her wherever she went. This is where the faithfulness to the friendship that they had flourishes in Ruth. Thus leaving all their gods, customs and traditions and opening her heart to the true God.

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her. (Read Ruth 1)

When we are faithful what do we do?

  • We DO NOT turn our back to the ones we love!
  • We KEEP and STAY near to help others!
  • We DON’T LET differences get in the way of friendship!
  • We KEEP our promises!

Being Faithful is being: loyal, constant, and steadfast.
